Shoe shopping is really easy for me. I can quickly walk up and down aisles, pick two sizes and just slip my feet into them. I don't have to look in a mirror for a long time to see if it "flatters" me. All I need to know are two things: "Is it comfortable?" and "Does it look good on?"
Sandal shopping, on the other hand, is more difficult. I loathe the very idea of flip flops worn outside of public showers and beaches, I hate anything with too much frou frou, and if it takes too much time to put on, then what's the point of a sandal?!
There was really nice black flat sandal that I loved at Payless about half a year ago and I still regret not picking it up when I had the chance. Stretchy cloth straps on top, and it zipped in the back. It really reminded me of something Childhood Flames would wear, so I knew I was in the right direction.
Anyway, so the point is...it's getting warm and I don't feel like wearing shoes that enclose my feet in a hot sauna all the time. I need some good comfortable sandals that would work with jeans AND summer dresses. Here is my sandal wish list, collage-style of course!

Shoes from Urban Outfitters (Matiki Wedge Thick Strap Gladiator, Marais USA Espadrille, Kimchi Blue Whipstitched Flat), Aldo (Bekins, Nicklin), Payless (Zoe&zac Chicory Flat Sandal), and Old Navy (Faux-leather ankle-strap sandal). Street style photo by Facehunter.
*Edit: I made this post a week ago and since then, I actually have tried on the Payless ones. I still like the CONCEPT, but they did look too monkish on me. Oh well. On to the next pair!
